The governing body is comprised of the mayor and six councilmembers elected from within the city limits. City Council meetings are administered by the Governing Body and are held at 7:00 p.m. on the first and third Monday of each month in Council Chambers on the third floor of City Hall. The Mayor, or the Mayor's designated Pro Tempore, presides over City Council meetings. 
 
Should a City Council meeting date fall on a City observed holiday, the meeting will be held the day immediately following the holiday.
