SCHOOL STARTS AUGUST 26TH!

In just a short time, school will be back in session and many of the community's children will be utilizing school buses to get to and from the schools.  Driver attention to school buses is critical to their safety.  This video is a good reminder on the laws pertaining to passing school buses.  For any other questions, please contact the police department at 672-2413.

OPEN ENROLLMENT FOR THE 2025 DEER MANAGEMENT ARCHERY PROGRAM

The Sheridan Police Department would like to take this opportunity to inform area residents that the Deer Management Archery Program implemented by the City of Sheridan in 2007, will be continuing for the 2025 hunting season.

All parties interested in bow hunting within the city limits must first register in person at the Sheridan Police Department. Any member of the department can assist residents with this registration.

The Deer Management Archery Program is a bow hunting only opportunity and individuals choosing to hunt privately owned land must first secure permission from the landowner.  It is your responsibility to look at the GIS and know where you are hunting.  We do not provide contact information for landowners.  You can get that information on GIS.  You can find additional information regarding what areas within the city limits are open to bow hunting by going to the City of Sheridan website.  Click on "Police Activity" and under media release click on the deer management program.

Remember, all Wyoming Game and Fish regulations apply to the Deer Management Archery Program.  This program is important as it helps maintain a healthy deer population and helps mitigate deer conflict with people, pets and property.

Thank you and good luck this fall!

IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE CALL THE SHERIDAN POLICE DEPARTMENT AND ASK FOR THE PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICER – (SHERIDAN) 672-2413
