The purpose of the Household Hazardous Waste Facility is to provide a legal and responsible option of collecting and disposing of household hazardous waste and hazardous waste generated by Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generators (CESQG).
All residents of Sheridan County are eligible to utilize the facility. Appointments are required and are currently available on Wednesdays only. Appointments allow us to manage storage for the type and amount of household chemicals being dropped off at the facility.
When phoning for an appointment, please have a count of chemicals sorted into the following categories:
- Cans of Paint
- Cans of Spray Paint
- Bottles / Containers of Household Chemicals (i.e.: cleaners)
- Bottles / Containers of Garage Chemicals (i.e.: oil, grease, antifreeze, etc.)
- Bottles / Bags of Yard Chemicals (i.e.: herbicides, insecticides, pesticides, etc.)

The cost is free to all Sheridan County residents. Businesses (including non-profit and government businesses) are required to pay a fee. Please call the facility for more information.
