The City of Sheridan has scheduled a public meeting on September 26, 2024, at the Primary Care Facility at 5:30 p.m. at 61 South Gould Street, Sheridan, WY.  A brief presentation will be given followed by community engagement activities and questions and answers.

Anyone with questions about the public meeting may contact Thomas Morneau with the City of Sheridan at [email protected] or call the Public Works Office at (307) 675-4232.

BACKGROUND: The City of Sheridan last adopted a transportation plan in 2009. The 2009 plan included input from a Steering Committee, individual stakeholders, members of the Sheridan Community, and previous planning efforts. The plan focused on the five main goals: mobility, driving, walking, bicycling, and transit. With these goals identified, the plan detailed the required next steps for the City to undertake. The objective of the transportation plan update project is to develop the “next steps” that were outlined in the 2009 Transportation Plan. This will involve data collection & review of existing conditions, reassembling the steering committee, developing improvement alternatives, prioritizing recommended projects, providing preliminary cost estimates, recommending projects for the next Capital Improvement Plan, and drafting an official map of projects/areas to be considered.
